These terms apply to your use of shofykart.com and to every order you place with us. Please read them before ordering. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

1. Who we are

Shofykart is an online electrical and electronics retailer based at Berhampore, Murshidabad – 742101, West Bengal, India. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Shofykart, and “you” means the person using the site or placing an order.

2. Using the site and your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to place an order.
• You may check out as a guest or create an account. If you create an account, the details you give us must be accurate and kept up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity that takes place under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has gained access to it.
• You may not misuse the site — including attempting to gain unauthorised access, interfering with its security, uploading harmful files, or extracting data by automated means.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or is used fraudulently.

3. Products and descriptions

• Technical specifications such as wattage, size, voltage and warranty period are taken from the manufacturer’s information.
• Product photographs are for illustration. Packaging, colour shade and minor design details may differ from the image shown.
• All products are subject to availability. Occasionally an item may be out of stock after you order; if that happens we will contact you and arrange a replacement, a cancellation or a refund.

4. Prices and taxes

• All prices are shown in Indian Rupees (₹).
• Applicable taxes are calculated and shown during checkout, at the rate that applies to each product.
• Prices may change at any time, but a change will not affect an order we have already accepted.
• Despite our efforts, an item may occasionally be listed at an incorrect price. If the correct price is higher than the listed price, we will contact you before dispatch and you may confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it. We are not obliged to supply at an incorrect price.

5. Placing an order

When you place an order you are making an offer to buy. The confirmation you receive acknowledges that we have received your order; it does not by itself mean we have accepted it. A contract is formed when we accept the order and dispatch it for delivery.

We may decline an order — for example if the item is unavailable, if we cannot deliver to your area, if there is a pricing error, or if we suspect fraud or misuse. If you have already paid for an order we decline, we will refund it in full.

6. Payment

• Cash on Delivery — pay in cash when your order is handed to you. Please have the correct amount ready where possible.
• Razorpay — pay online by card, UPI, net banking or wallet. Payments are processed on Razorpay’s secure systems. We never receive or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or banking password.

Cash on Delivery may not be available on every order or to every area. If an online payment fails or is reversed, we may hold or cancel the order.

7. Delivery

• We deliver within our serviceable areas in and around Berhampore, Murshidabad. You can check whether we reach you by entering your PIN code at checkout. If your area is not covered, we will not be able to accept the order.
• Delivery is free on orders of ₹500 and above. Below that, a delivery charge of ₹80 applies. The charge that applies to your order is shown at checkout before you pay.
• Delivery timelines given on the site are estimates, not guarantees. Delays can occur due to weather, local conditions, holidays or stock availability.
• Someone must be available at the delivery address to receive the order. If delivery cannot be completed after reasonable attempts, we may return the order and cancel it.
• Please check the package at the time of delivery. If it is visibly damaged or the seal is broken, tell the delivery person and contact us the same day.

8. Cancellations

You may ask to cancel an order before it is dispatched, and we will do our best to accommodate it. Once an order is out for delivery it may not be possible to cancel. For Cash on Delivery orders, repeatedly refusing delivery may result in us declining future Cash on Delivery orders from that account or address.

9. Returns, replacements and refunds

Returns, replacements and refunds are covered by our Return Policy, which forms part of these terms. Please read it before ordering.

10. Warranty

Where a product carries a warranty, it is the manufacturer’s warranty, and the period stated on the product page applies. We will help you raise a claim and put you in touch with the correct service channel, but the warranty itself is provided and honoured by the manufacturer, on their terms.

Warranties do not usually cover damage caused by incorrect installation, voltage fluctuation beyond the rated range, physical damage, water damage, unauthorised repair or normal wear. Electrical products should be installed by a qualified electrician; incorrect installation can be dangerous and may void the warranty.

11. Discount codes and offers

Discount codes may carry conditions such as a minimum order value, an expiry date or a limit on use. Unless stated otherwise, codes cannot be combined, have no cash value, and may be withdrawn at any time. We may cancel a discount that has been obtained or used in a way we consider abusive.

12. Reviews and content you post

If you post a review or other content, it must be your own, honest, and not unlawful, offensive or misleading. By posting, you allow us to display and reproduce that content on the site. We may edit or remove content that breaches these terms, and we may withhold reviews that we cannot verify relate to a genuine purchase.

13. Intellectual property

The site design, text, logos and layout belong to us or our licensors. Brand names, product images and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used to describe the products we sell. You may not copy, republish or reuse material from this site for commercial purposes without our permission.

14. Our responsibility to you

We take care to describe products accurately and to deliver them in good condition. We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for loss arising from incorrect installation or misuse of a product.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or any other rights you have by law that cannot be excluded.

15. Events outside our control

We are not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural events, strikes, civil disruption, power or network failure, or restrictions imposed by authorities.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you place an order is the version that applies to that order. The date at the top shows when the terms were last changed.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at Berhampore, Murshidabad, West Bengal.
